Pixel Art Playground

Create & focus / Local drawing · PNG export

Pixel Art Playground is deliberately small: choose a sixteen-, thirty-two-, forty-eight- or sixty-four-pixel canvas and draw with a pencil, eraser or fill tool. It suits an icon, a simple game sprite or a first pixel-art exercise. The checkerboard helps you see transparent cells while working; the exported PNG does not include that editing background.

How to get started

  1. Choose the canvas size before starting a new drawing. A smaller grid makes each pixel decision easier to see.
  2. Pick a color and use Pencil for edges, Fill for connected regions or Eraser for transparency.
  3. Download PNG and inspect the saved image before clearing the board or closing the tab.

A useful limitation

Exporting a small sprite preserves its pixel dimensions. Enlarge it with a nearest-neighbor method if you want crisp pixels in another editor.

What happens to your data

Drawing and PNG creation happen in the browser canvas. The drawing is held in page memory rather than uploaded as an account project.

Latest check

PNG export produced a 32×32 pixel image download. Checked October 3, 2026.

This is a dated observation, not a continuous uptime promise. Individual inputs or game sessions may behave differently.
